Reflections On Our Launch
The mint has, by all standards, been a very big success. This is an open-ended mint, one of the first of it’s kind, where anyone at any time can mint in order to become a member of DeLorean Protocol, regardless of how many have minted before them. This is a big way in which our treasury will grow and the rewards issued to the winning parties will increase over time. In our opinion, it is a good thing to have the minting increasing over time, as it shows that our project is gaining traction and people are learning more and more about us.
At the time of this writing, we have minted 375 Keys with a treasury of $43,315. As our treasury grows, so does the need for complete transparency which is why, from Day One, we have provided our Anchor Protocol contract address in ApeBoard to anyone who was interested, but we figured it would be best for that wallet to be available to anyone who wants to view it, especially prospective community members. Our discord community continues to grow and flourish into a thriving community. The community is engaging more and more with the team all the time, and providing valuable insight and opinions. One of the first things that we are going to begin doing will be community game nights, with a variety of prizes which could include whitelist spots from in-demand partner projects to prize NFTs and coveted discord roles. These game nights will include games like Squid Games on Roblox, Fortnite, Among Us, Rocket League, or any other community-recommended game where a large group of us can join the same server. We have announced collaborative partnerships with LunaBulls (who’s award we won at the hackathon), Skeleton Punks, Hellcats, and Hero. In the coming weeks we will have some whitelist slots for Skeleton Punks to giveaway to our community and will be announcing other partnerships of coming projects as time progresses, as we are in talks with a plethora of projects (both NFT projects and other projects within the cryptoverse).
We also have begun partnering with DAOs and having conversations with other DAOs interested in partnering with us, in regards to what each side can bring to the table to benefit each partnership. For example, in exchange for any DAO minting a set number of DeLorean Keys, we will provide a special role for each project and their members and advertise the collaboration and partnership on Twitter and Discord before, during, and after the mint.
We have finally teased our hoverboard, a special NFT that will be given to our OG hodlers. We also will award a special NFT tag designed by one of our resident artists, to the first holder that our smart contract awards the winnings raffle to.
As we close out this synopsis, I think it is important to point out that DeLorean Protocol is not just an NFT with a ‘raffle’, we are the first NFT on Terra that integrates DeFi via our treasury being deposited into Anchor Protocol, and gamification through that yield being rewarded to a holder of our NFT every 3 days. This represents a huge necessary evolutionary step forward for NFTs. While we all love the profile pic NFTs and the fun and sense of community that they can provide, we think it is important to point out that DeLorean Protocol provides true utility in the form of these gamified DeFi rewards to our holders, while at the same time bolstering other protocols in the ecosystem like Anchor Protocol where we have the entirety of our treasury. The most integral projects that have moved this ecosystem forward in the past have been those that utilize other projects in one’s ecosystem as part of their core usability. Our team are a group of friends who have met during, and came from, other NFT projects in the ecosystem where we developed strong ties between ourselves and to Terra as a whole. It is this experience that has allowed us to create a project that utilizes such vital projects as Anchor Protocol, and who saw the need for true utility to be added to NFTs. It is with this that we want to say thank you to our newly minted community and the greater Terra Luna community at large; for giving us a chance and for believing in our vision.
